Source API currently contains two tags, being double_handed_weapons and visually_disables_offhand, made to help other mod devs but specifically made for mods by the "We forgot to install source" team members

Double Handed Weapons

as seen in the image below this section, the double handed weapons tag makes items added to it have the "crossbow_charge" arm pose, visually giving the effect that the weapon is double handed

Visually Disables Offhand

the disables offhand tag is meant to be used alongside the Double Handed Weapons tag, but is seperate for more customizability, any items added to the tag will disable the rendering off the offhand in third person, there are plans to make a third tag relating to this to instead functionally disable the offhand
