This mod adds Entity Barrier blocks. These blocks are configurable with the Entity Barrier Detector. With the detector you can select up to 4 entites or even groups. You can then apply these selections to the Entity Barrier blocks to stop entities from passing through. There are also Pressure Plates which can be configured but instead of blocking access they are used to allow access. Whatever entities you allow on the pressure plates can trigger them. There is also a config which will allow you to turn on or off any entity. This mod is also mod friendly. Entities from different mods should work with the detector and the config.
While other mods will have support for their entites to show up in the config and detector the mods will not have icon support. You can make a resource pack to include modded icons.
Using the Detector
The Entity Barrier Detector once made is able to be right clicked. When you right click a screen will pop up. This screen will allow you to scroll through a list of entites or pick groups at the top of the screen. You are able to pick up to 4 selections. You can also press the clear button in the top right to clear all icons or if you want you can also click on the icons to remove them. You do need to make sure you press the button at the bottom of the screen to apply the changes to the detector. Once you have selected entities in the detector you can right click barriers or pressure plates from this mod to apply the selections to them. You are also able to crouch and right click to apply to adjacent barriers and pressure plates as well.
All three detectors function the same. The other two are just different textures from our other two barrier mods.
Crafting Recipes
Entity Barrier:
This recipe gives 16 barriers
- Iron Nugget, Iron Nugget, Iron Nugget
- Gold Ingot, Gold Ingot, Gold Ingot
- Iron Nugget, Iron Nugget, Iron Nugget
Entity Barrier Detector:
- Iron Nugget, Lightning Rod, Iron Nugget
- Gold Ingot, Glass, Gold Ingot
- Iron Nugget, Redstone Dust, Iron Nugget
Villager and Pokémon detectors are made replacing the Gold Ingots from the above recipe. Villager uses Emeralds and Pokémon uses Amethyst Shards.
Almost all Entity Pressure Plates are made with the Pressure Plate you want and an Entity Barrier placed side by side.
There are a few exceptions which are the Villager, Pokémon, Pale Oak, Apricorn, Saccharine, and Distorted Pressure Plates.
- The Villager Pressure Plate requires a Stone Pressure Plate and a Villager Barrier
- The Pokémon Pressure Plate requires a Stone Pressure Plate and a Pokémon Barrier/Pokémon Old Barrier.
- The Pale Oak Pressure Plate requires a White Carpet and an Entity Barrier
- The Apricorn Pressure Plate requires a Brown Carpet and an Entity Barrier
- The Saccharine Pressure Plate requires a Light Blue Carpet and an Entity Barrier
- The Distorted Pressure Plate requires a Blue Carpet and an Entity Barrier
If you have the Cobblemon mod or the Cobblemon Distortion World mod installed you can craft the Apricorn, Saccharine, and Distorted Pressure Plates with the respective Pressure Plates.
You can make the Villager and Pokémon pressure plates the same as the entity ones but instead of the Entity Barrier use the Villager or Pokémon Barriers.
For the different variants of the Pressure Plates, Barriers, or Detectors you need to place the Entity Versions in a Stonecutter. Everything can be reverse crafted in the Stonecutter.
Config
/entitybarrier reloadThe config is called entitybarrier.json and it does not generate until loading a world. On a server the config will be controlled server side. The server owner can enable or disable whichever entities they would like. They can then do the /entitybarrier reload command to refresh the config in game. This will apply the change to all clients. On a single player world it works the same way except you have to do it.
Mod Support
If you would like to add icons for a mod you will need to make a resource pack. The pathing is assets > textures > gui > icons > insert mod name here . In the icons folder you will make a folder named whatever the mods mod id is called. For example Burgers R Cool is burgersrcool so the pathing would be assets > textures > gui > icons > burgersrcool . You can then add the entites icon texture to that folder. Make sure the icon textures name is the same exact name as the entity you are making it for. For example in Burgers R Cool the entity Burger Boss in game looks like that but in the code it is burger_boss. Make sure you match what it is in the code not what is being displayed in game. An easy way to find the correct entity name and mod id is by loading up a creative world and doing /summon and then the start of the mods name. This should show you the exact name and all the entities.
Other Mechanics
If a player is trapped in the Barrier blocks you are able to crouch out. As long as the player is crouched they will be able to walk right out. This was done to stop griefing or trapping yourself accidentally.
If a mods entites are not showing up in the detector or config let us know in our Discord. For any questions or issues not answered on this page join the Discord for further support.
