Changelog HandPunish — Alpha 1.0.0
Changelog
✅ Core Features
Added a punishment system for breaking blocks with the wrong tool:
Using an incorrect tool now applies a large mining speed penalty.
Breaking blocks with no tool (bare-handed) applies an even harsher penalty.
✅ Player Damage Punishments
If a player continues to mine something they shouldn’t be mining with their hands, they now take 2 hearts of damage once the penalty triggers.
Damage also triggers if using a completely wrong tool (e.g., shovel on stone).
✅ Tool & Material Interactions
Pickaxe: Much less penalized when used incorrectly, since it’s still solid metal.
Axe & Hoe: Much more penalized when used on hard materials, since they aren’t built for impact.
Tool-less interactions with certain blocks cause stripping or extra steps:
Punching logs strips them first, requiring a second break.
✅ Flint Mechanics
Holding flint unlocks basic primitive interactions:
Acts as a weak, temporary cutting tool.
Can be inserted into mobs with right-click to cause damage over time. (does not work vs non-squishy mobs like iron golems and skeletons)
Has a chance to be consumed depending on use-case.
Whily holding flint in handm gives slightly enhanced unarmed damage (up to vanilla levels, to compensate for nerfing bare-handed damage).
✅ Golem Damage Adjustments
Iron Golems now have true hardened durability:
They take only 1/40th damage from all sources except Diamond / Netherite pickaxes.
